At Arboretum we have 2 operating theatres. This is the main theatre for sterile operations
And this is the dental theatre with ultrasonic scaler and high speed air drill. In this theatre we can perform routine dental work plus more complex procedures including surgical removal of broken teeth that have healthy roots.
Our x ray facilities at Arboretum are of the highest quality with a high output machine, floating table and under-table grid. Most of our patients need an anaesthetic in order to obtain the high quality radiographs required for modern diagnosis.
We are rightly proud of the quality of our ultrasound scanning facilities and service.
Our ultrasound equipment and staff training means that we can take diagnostic sample with ultrasound guidance, survey abdomens right down to adrenal and pancreatic detail level, assess prostate glands for tumours, cysts and benign hypertrophy plus echo hearts for valvular disease, muscle hypertrophy and use dopplar to assess flow.
Our main practice laboratory is at the Arboretum branch. All branches can do routine biochemistry tests but Arboretum has a state of the art biochemistry machine with inter-linked elctrolytes and haematology. All heamatology samples are also examined under the microscope to check that our machine is reading correctly and to assess blood cell morphology and type of anaemia where relevant.
